The full English name of DPF is "Diesel Particulate Filter", which is literally translated as "diesel particulate filter", also called diesel particulate capture regenerator. It is a device that reduces particulate matter (PM) emission pollutants in the exhaust gas. During the working process of the trap, the particles will accumulate in the filter. When it reaches a certain value, it will cause the performance of engine power and economy to decline. The deposited particles must be removed in time to ensure that the DPF continues to work normally. This is called DPF regeneration. The core function of DPF is that after the engine exhaust gas passes through the DPF, the gaseous pollutants can flow out through the hole wall, and the particles are trapped inside the DPF by the hole wall. The carbon (C) particles are then converted into gaseous substances and discharged under specific conditions. The core of the diesel exhaust carbon particles (soot) collected in the DPF is solid carbon (C), and the outside contains polymers produced by incomplete combustion of the engine. In layman's terms, its function is to first collect the carbon particles in the exhaust gas, and then centrally dispose of them to a certain extent, so as to convert the exhaust pollutants into non-polluting gases.
